Walk in the Spirit

I see a generation that is rising in the body of Christ that will receive a double portion from the Lord. It is a different kind of generation, composed out of old and young who are sold out to YHVH. These onesare the Bride of Christ who choose to be radically obedient to YHVH’s voice, and who willingly choose not to compromise with the world and with sin. We allmake mistakes, but the Bride are those followers of Jesus who choose to walkaway from deliberate sin. They are chosen by God to prepare the way for theKing’s second coming. Is this you that I am talking about? Are you a part ofthe five wise virgins? Or are you waiting until it is too late to try and borrowsome oil? (See Matt. 25 for the parable of the ten virgins.)

“Surelythe day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and everyevildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire,”says the Lord Almighty. “Not a root or a branch will be left to them. 2 Butfor you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing inits wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall. 3 Then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of yourfeet on the day when I do these things,” says the Lord Almighty.

4 “Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.

5 “See, I will send you the prophetElijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. 6 Hewill turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of thechildren to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with acurse” (Malachi 4:1-6).

Yahweh is busy teaching all of to be prophetic warriorswho will walk in the spirit and manifest the kingdom of Yahweh everywhere wego. We see this anointing that “prepares the way for the King” in the fieryanointing of boldness and power at work in the life of John the Baptist. Luke1:17 says of John the Baptist: “And hewill go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children andthe disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people preparedfor the Lord.” When we read the Word of God we clearly see that John liveda life of no compromise. He called sinners to repentance, and he preached aclear message in the wilderness saying: “Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven isat hand” (Matt. 3:1-2). He moved in such a powerful anointing of boldness andfire that many people came to repentance because of him, and they wanted Johnto baptize them so that they could leave their old life of sin behind and standup in a new life.  John was also the onewho confronted the religious spirits of his day. Do you still have thereligious spirit operating in you? Do you still try to please God with yourworks without having an intimate love relationship with Him?

The final hour is here and we are invited to be a partof the wedding feast. Unfortunately, many will refuse the invitation. That iswhy I believe that God is releasing this double portion of the Elijah anointingright now to the body of Christ. He is busy raising up a body that is consumedby the zeal of the Lord of Hosts. It will be a generation filled with passionfor His name that will take the Kingdom of heaven by force: “From the days of John the Baptist untilnow, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men layhold of it” (Matt. 11:12).

It will be a generation that will walk in the doubleportion of Elijah which is the “power and miracles” anointing and it willrelease true kingdom authority. Yes, it will confront the powers of darknessand show forth the reality of the Kingdom of God. They will live in thatKingdom, and will see the Kingdom of God released over the everyday situationsis their lives.

For the last year of our life YHVH has taken me and myfamily through the school of the wilderness. There the Holy Spirit is theteacher, because He is the only one you can count on in the wilderness. He isour Counsellor for every problem, our Strength for every battle, and our Comforterfor every hurt. He has taught me so much about the army of God, and how towalk, operate, and fight in His power. The army of God walk with their headsheld high, and they are not ashamed of their God and the reality of thesupernatural.

With my whole heart I believe that the Elijah anointingis there for everyone, and not just for a select few. The question is: are youwilling to be an empty vessel so that God can manifest His Kingdom through youhere on earth? The double portion generation will be a generation that will notonly preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in words only, but they will be ageneration that will manifest and demonstrate God’s power and His love. Ineffect they will display the Father’s heart to a hurting world, for the Kingdomof God is not a matter of talk, but of power! (1 Cor. 4:20).

What makes me so excited about all of this is that YHVHtakes us to deeper levels of our love relationship with Him, and this requiresintimacy with the King of kings. Without love you can do nothing. I have seenit time and again where I minister that when I share about the Father’s heartand His love, the people are set free of so many bondages – because it is the loveof the Father that breaks through the hardened hearts. It is His anointing thatflows out of His love that sets us free, and not our toil and works. We need tomove into a place of total dependence on God, and to be totally dependent onHis love. Let His love become the very air you breathe. Jesus said: “I am the vine; you are the branches. If aman remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can donothing. 6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branchthat is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into thefire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain inyou, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. 8 This isto my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be mydisciples” (John 15:5-8).

In order for us to grow deeper into the things of Godand to manifest His glory we need to be totally connected to the vine. Yeshuais the vine and we are the branches, and when we bear fruit we glorify theFather. It is only in the place of intimacy that we are positioned to receivethe necessary sap to bear fruit – that is the place of right standing with God. The sap is the anointing and in that anointingyou hear God’s voice directing your destiny. The vine produces the sap, and itis freely available to every branch connected to the vine – for one reasononly: to bear fruit.

The Word of God teaches us that a tree is known by itsfruit. Now I want to ask you: What kind of fruit do you bear? To what vine areyou connected? Where does your strength come from?

Even though our family is walking on such a narrow pathwith the Lord, I get so excited about the things that I learn from Wisdomthrough Aldo. We take it step by step and sometimes the process feels veryslow, but I know that time is quickly running out before Aldo will be ready towalk out in this anointing. This is the kind of generation that God is busyraising up, but first we need to be trained in the wilderness. The wilderness isour training ground to be transformed into the character of YHVH, so that wecan reflect His glory and manifest His anointing.

What does God ask of youand me:

1)     Intimacy with God: To choose Him aboveeverything else in your life. Make sure that the priorities in your life areright: fist God, then your spouse, then your children, and then your job. Takedown the idols! “Little children, keepyourselves from idols (false gods)—[from anything and everything that wouldoccupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Himthat would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be)” (1John 5:21, Amplified).

2)     Obedience to His voice: It will allow Godto manifest the Kingdom of God through you. Lay down your deliberate sin, andchoose life so that you and your offspring can live. “I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I haveset before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore chooselife, that you and yourdescendants may live” (Deut. 30:19).

3)     Humility: The real reason whyobedience is so important, is because it is in essence humility before God. TheLord says so clearly in His word that He will regard a humble and contritespirit, but He will oppose the proud (James 4:6). What does true humility looklike? Jesus was our perfect example: “Yourattitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did notconsider equality with God something to be grasped but madehimself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in humanlikeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himselfand became obedient to death even death on a cross!

ThereforeGod exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above everyname, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, inheaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongueconfess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”(Phil. 2:5-11)

4)     Be a friend of God: To be a friend of Godyou need to know Him, and to representHis Kingdom wherever you go through your uncompromising obedience to His Word.Abraham was called a friend of God: “Abrahambelieved God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was calledGod’s friend” (James 2:23). Are you in love with God, or is He only a partof one half-hour of your day? Is He your acquaintance or your friend?

5)     Walk in supernatural authority: You willsee His power manifested through you when you are one with Him and walk in Hisways. The wilderness will be your training ground to be a part of the end-timearmy of God. When you walk in your authority your fingers will be trained forwar, and you will not be afraid of the enemy.

My family and I are just a normal family in Africa, butI know for certain that we are in training to be a part of this end-time armyof God. God wants to train you wherever you are in the world – give yourselfand your family into YHVH’s hands, and He will walk with you step by step.

The Elijah anointing is for each and every follower of Yeshua, but we need to take up our cross and follow Him. Then we will walk in our Godgiven authority: not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit.

Tinus and I are on a plane on our way to Cape Town. Iam hosting a seminar for men this weekend and my husband is coming with me! Heknows that he won’t be coming to hear his “wife” preaching this weekend – hewill be coming to hear what the Holy Spirit has to say through me. The kids aredoing well. We are going through such an interesting time in the spirit withAldo at the moment. I will tell you about it next time, otherwise this letteris going to become too long. The one thing this road with Aldo has taught me isthat we have to walk in the spirit. Before this revelation became a truth in myheart I never really understood Aldo. Since God has been teaching us how towalk in the spirit step by step, it is like living a new life. I’m just notalways sure how to share what we experience with the world, because noteverybody believes that it is real and I don’t want to open myself and myfamily up to the stones of criticism and unbelief that people throw so easily. The fact of the matter is that God is real, He is Spirit, and nothing isimpossible for Him. At the end of the day the most important thing for all ofus is to love God!!! With all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mindand all of our strength.

I bless your spirit with the love of YHWH,

Retah and family
