The message of our Father’s healing love is not a cheap message or a fleeting experience. It becomes our reality when we come to a place in our lives where the cry for our Abba Father’s love, becomes louder and more important than our wants and needs. This is the perfect love we all yearn after. It is only the Father’s love that motivates us to die to self, constantly kneeling before the Cross. It is when we come to the end of ourselves, our knowing and our strength, that the process of healing can start. A healed life means a changed life.
There are certain principles that take effect when Abba Father’s love starts moving in our hearts. Knowing about someone doesn't make you his friend. When we are only aware of the Father, knowing about Him but are not walking in intimacy with Him, then His power will not be released in us. We need His power to die to self and to be transformed into His image and likeness.
Knowing your Abba Father intimately asks a commitment of us. We have to spend time with Him. We have to search His face, putting our heads on His shoulder, surrendering to Him. It is a journey of transformation. The more time we spend with Him, the more we die to self – and the more of Him is formed on our inside.
Fifteen years ago, just after the accident, I clung to the hope that Aldo would be healed within the month and later I hoped for a year. The more I matured in Christ, the more I realized that healing takes place moment by moment. I just could not see it with my physical eyes. On day one, as I knelt before the Cross, the healing started. Day by day, as I went to the Cross, Christ’s blood formed a pathway leading me deeper and deeper into the Father’s heart. Into Love. With every step of faith, through every prayer and every act of love, healing takes place in the spirit.
The longer the journey, the more I saw myself ‘die’. And the more I ‘died’, the more Abba Father moved! At His feet, I can surrender all my frustrations and fears. Here, I have the freedom and safety to bring my hidden core pain into His heart. And the more I release the pain, the more space for His unconditional love is created.
In the surrender, I realized that it is not always about the achievements and the efforts I put in. No, it is about the laying down of self – becoming completely dependent upon Him. This, more than anything else, makes God’s love flow like streams of living water. And in this hidden place we become revived, refreshed and restored as we drink from His waters of life.
It is not a one-off experience, but a choice by faith, to pursue intimacy with the Father every day of our lives. His love alone carries the power and grace to restore our hearts that were broken by the world. This love is an experience that no money can buy.
Often when ministering, I get to pray for people. By faith I stand in agreement with them that their situations will change. As I pray, Abba touches my spiritual eyes, causing me to see how Kingdom comes to earth. I see how their hardened hearts become increasingly softer. In amazement I ask, “Abba, what is happening now?”
I hear His encouraging voice. “I cannot bring Kingdom to earth for them, if there is no landing place in their hearts. That is why when you pray – I allow their hearts to become softer so that they will be able to encounter My love. It is only My love that allows the deep hidden core pain to come to the surface. There is no judgement in My love.”
The more His love flows, the more of our pain will surface and then the Father’s healing love can be released.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but the perfect love pushes the fear out.
Only in His presence will we feel safe enough to release the deep hidden pain, allowing it to be made known.
Right there where you are, at this very moment, you can give Him all your shame, all your guilt, all your unspoken feelings. This will remove some deep rocks from your heart, creating space for His kingdom to come into your heart. In His Kingdom – love flows.
I cannot believe that this coming weekend is our last Spirit School for 2019. On Monday, we are leaving for our annual Israel tour.
After 10 years of visiting Israel in November every year, we are changing the tour date to June in 2020. If you want to join us – start praying and give Him the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4,5 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.
Let’s seek our Father’s heart more than anything else in this world!
