Lord of masterpieces

Six weeks has gone by since the accident and today, Josh will see his brother for the first time since the accident. He climbs onto Aldo’s bed and puts his hands on his face. Aldo’s left eye is still closed but he turns his head to follow his brother’s voice. It is very nice for the four of us to be together again. We learn a lot daily.

While you are in a coma, each phase of the coma has a numerical value. Aldo is not out of the coma completely yet.

Somebody phones me in the hospital and asks me if I know how much brain damage my child suffered and if I knew what is awaiting us when he is totally out of the coma. I am lost for words. Yes I know what is awaiting us, Amazing Grace! Quietly I sit and stare at nothing. A cloud of love enfolds me. “Don’t quit Retha, keep on playing, sing and dance the song of your life. I will turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces.” “Thank You Lord!”

Josh and I go home, while Tinus is left with Aldo. We sing along and cry together. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, you never know dear, how much I love you. Please don’t take my sunshine away.”

Mat 7:11 therefore, if you, being evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those that ask Him?

We will never give up hope. Aldo will be healed completely, we know that for certain. God is always true.

Isa 55:11 “So shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in what I sent it to do”!

I am clear of who I am. I know what I stand for; I refuse to compromise, for truthfulness is the main element of character.

“Thank You Lord, for Your Grace and calmness in us. I know Aldo is in Your hands. I can not ask for more.” It goes well to those who put their trust in the Lord. We live and work peacefully because God is in control.

“Lord my God let the spirit of this child return to him please.”

May His praise be found in us every day!
