Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
I received an email from a publisher company, “We are closing down and we have so many books of you, you can buy it from us.” So I bought it, because what else will they do with the books? Our whole garage is stacked with the books. I found myself staring at it. What shall I do with it?
Maybe sell it at a discount price? Then I heard a soft voice inside my heart, “Give it away.” No, how can I give it away if I had to buy it? The whole day I was thinking about the books. I sat with a calculator determining what the feasible amount to sell it for is. My brain was working, and I was thinking!
That day I received a mail from a person that asked me about the ‘economy crush’? My words to her were: “Make sure that you live in YHVH’s kingdom, by His principles, because He will look after His children and will never leave us nor forsake us. But I will not speak over myself an economy crush – no never! I have seen too many a time how YHVH came through for us. The times when we spent months in the hospital with Aldo, were some of Tinus’ best months in business. Yeshua just showed us – I am your provision. But we have to trust Him, and live in His kingdom!
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
The day passed and I heard the soft gentle voice of YHVH speaking to me. “Retah, everybody just wants more and more. People build garages, basements just to store their stuff. Tons of things that are not used are stored. Do you understand why it is easier for a camel to get through the eye of the needle than for a rich person to get into the Kingdom of God? How long will it take you to sell all those books? Do you know that I am coming soon? Do you trust Me that I am your provider? Give away those books Retah.”
That night I took Aldo’s book to see what he wrote for the day.

You know what Lucifer wants to do, he wants to put fear on what is to come. Congratulations mom, I see you understand that you need seed in the ground. Only those who have seed will have a harvest in dark days. Calm down and never distrust Abba. You heard right – sow (bless) all the books in the garage. Do you know moth and rust? Do you know God, mom? Hard, hard, hard lesson this is, and people will know immediately why I do not have seed and bread on the water? Blessed are you who quietly continue to help us. To store up treasures in heaven, I have to trust in Yeshua. I cannot do well and think that will pave my way to heaven. It is because I love Him, that I can trust Him. It is all about a love relationship with Him. We store up treasures in heaven by obeying His voice as well as follow His ways. We are all called upon, in various ways, to build His kingdom. We have to give, pray, give love, serve and just be His hands and feet here on earth. By doing that, we store up treasures with Him. And famine will never hit us! Because our storehouse will be full in heaven.
Dear Lord, please forgive me that I wavered in obeying You. That I counted the cost of the books and thought I had to make a way. I wanted to hold on to them. You are the way, the truth, and the life. I repent for having fear. I trade my fear with faith. I declare today that You are my provider. I will sow those books and many people will be blessed with the message of truth. Thank you that I can put my bread on the water, and sow seed of life. You teach us to trust and obey in You. I love you Abba!
