Can I really possess the promised Land?
Yes, I believe with all of my heart that it is YHVH’s heart for His children. But we need to make the choice.
Joshua 24:23 Now therefore, he said ‘put away the foreign gods which are among you, and incline your heart to the Lord your God of Israel’. And the people said to Joshua ’the Lord our God we will serve, and His voice we will obey’.
YHVH wants us to live in and from His heart. He wants us to come into the fullness of His plan for our lives. This is the place where the sons of G-D will be manifested. They will be those walking in total transparency - overcomers of the evil seed in them. They will possess the Promised Land step-by-step as they break all the evil covenants being made by them and their forefathers and they will walk in the fullness of their covenant love relationship with Yeshua.
Yeshua has a perfect divine destiny for every individual’s life. But, we need to return to Him, we need to take back the land, the purpose and the callings for our lives. Yes, the Word says that it will be war; a journey filled with trials and tribulations. We will find ourselves in conflicts and battles. But, the battles are all to claim back the land which has been promised to our forefathers.
YHVH took man and asked him to tend, guard and keep the garden from influences from outside; as well as not eating from the tree of knowledge.
Gen 2:15-17 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden
to tend and guard and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying,
You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that
you eat of it you shall surely die.
When ‘self’ comes in, it opens a door for the demonic, cult and idols to come in.
1John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)--[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be).
These idols are anything and everything that takes the place and time in your
life above YHVH. It is that which gives you and your life meaning, identity and
definition – this can be your children, wealth, sport, image, religion, friends, job, title and so much, much more.
Here, in the Garden of Eden is where warfare started. YHVH’s command was to protect the garden, and for us – to possess the land. Come into this place where body, soul and spirit are lined up with YHVH’s Word - incline your heart to the Lord your God. Only with Yeshua as your source will this journey be walked in victory and will you overcome the giants.
It is very costly for man to give up relying on his own flesh. The moment when we enter into the Holy of Holies, into Yeshua’s presence – all flesh must die. All your man-made ideas of spiritual excitement, great big deliverance or just a new move of the spirit, or your needs, your ways, your ideas will fade away. In the Holy of Holies - Yeshua and Him alone is all you want. He becomes the air that you breathe, He gives you direction and strategy, whispers in your ear and tells you what lies ahead of you. Here, He shows you what is the next giant to be faced. Here He prepares your spirit for war, teaches your hands to war, takes out your heart of stone and replaces it with a heart of flesh. The day when you lay down yourself, you will never want to go back to the wilderness where you relied on yourself, man’s opinion, man’s blessings or man-made ways, ever again. No one, but Yeshua will satisfy your spirit.
I look at Abraham’s relationship with YHVH, and see that he was called a friend of YHVH. A friend who gave his heart to YHVH, and we can see that YHVH shared His heart with Abraham. He showed Abraham great things to come - including all the nations that would come forth from his seed.
We and our ancestors have made so many other covenants as in Isaiah 28 where the covenant with Death and hell is described.
Isa 28:15 -18 Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death,
and with Sheol (the place of the dead) we have an agreement--when the
overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us, for we have made
lies our refuge, and in falsehood we have taken shelter. Therefore thus says the
Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a
precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on,
and adheres to that Stone) will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in
sudden panic]. I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the
plummet; and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and waters will overwhelm
the hiding place (the shelter). And your covenant with death shall be annulled,
and your agreement with Sheol (the place of the dead) shall not stand; when the
overwhelming scourge passes through, then you will be trodden down by it.
Till today, man is eating the fruit of these covenants; for a covenant stands until it is annulled. Because of the evil covenants and agreements still influencing our lives we find it hard to enter into the fullness of Christ. To possess the land we need to break these evil covenants and make a covenant with YHVH.
This Promised Land is Yeshua, our promised possession. I AM is the One who will walk before us into the land that He has prepared for us. It is Yeshua who will bring down the principalities and powers - the giants in the Promised Land. It is all through the cross and His blood that we will be able to overcome the darkness and inherit the Promised Land. This land will be possessed through faith alone and faith gives you the title deed. With the title deed of faith secured, your seed will inherit this land that you and Yeshua have taken back. You will be called a blessed generation.
How about you, have you possess the Promised Land yet? Is Yeshua your everything? Or do you still share your heart with self and the world? Have you overcome your giants in the land? Remember, all through faith in Him and Him alone.
Col 1:27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.
