Today I look at my own life and realise that everything in my life is dependent on the choices and responses I make to the call of God on my life.
It is so easy to make choices on your emotions, pain or hurt but there is just no better compass than every word that came from the mouth of God (His Word) that leads us daily.
Have you ever faced situations where you are flat on your face and do not know which way to go? I heard in my spirit, “Retah, no man will be able to give you the same truth as My Word. My Word is not a casual opinion or judgement of man – it is everything, and provides TRUTH! I will lead you, just follow My instructions!”
I am reminded of the day when Aldo wrote, “Lord, how do You want me to tell this message – if their ears are uncircumcised?"
I see how Aldo, to this day, experiences that people don’t take him seriously, or worse, say bad things about him.
Later I found this Scripture in Jeremiah.
Jeremiah 6:10 To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Indeed their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot give heed.
God speaks to us through His Word, but we don’t obey and follow Him.
“Hear My voice, follow My direction and you will live."
At the time of Jeremiah’s writings, Jerusalem was on the brink of destruction. The Babylonian invasion was around the corner, yet the people were blind and could not hear.
The crisis of this hour is our inability to hear and obey God YHVH’s voice and directions for our lives. People’s lives fall apart, but the truth is that the areas of our hearts that are hardened cannot hear because it is uncircumcised and unredeemed.
We hear what we want to hear. Life is all about us, and not what God asks of us.
He asks holiness – yes, holiness in our lives.
Jeremiah 6:16 Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths (ancient paths) where the good way is, and walk in it. Then you will find rest for your souls.
The ancient paths refer to the Word of God.
I believe that God YHVH is calling His children back to the drawing board – come back to the Word of God.
Let us silence all the other inner dark voices; even the voices of all the opinions of man, and enter into the ancient paths of God’s Word to find direction for every crises in our lives.
His Word will lead us in maturity and purity of heart.
When we open our hearts before the Lord, it place us in a humble position before Him as we allow Him to circumcise our hearts with His truth.
In that humble position, we acknowledge that we will never be able to find the way without His Spirit and His Truth.
Nothing of ourselves will help us to be healed.
God’s desire for man is to be with Him.
Let’s turn back and accept His invitation to know Him, His heart and taste His love for us.
The fulfilment of our hearts’ desires are only found in Him, and in His Word.
His Word is filled with His desires, His promises, His guidance, His Truth, His Light and He is waiting for you and me.
If you want to find God, turn back to the Word of God.
