Hurt is real, but so is hope

11 March 2020

Have you ever been at a place where you knew that no one – no person, no doctor, no amount of money or connection will be able to help you?

Many years ago, we carried our 12-year old son out of hospital. He had severe brain injuries, was completely lame, blind, could not speak a word and had no bladder control.  From the perspective of the world – a hopeless situation.

In this, you feel utterly alone, lost, hurt and people don't know what to say to you, other than "sorry".

One day, I sat at the feet of Jesus and said, "Jesus, did you hear that they said that there is NO HOPE for my son?! They don't even have medicine which they can prescribe which will be able to heal or alleviate his brain injury”.

At that stage of my life medicine was still my only go-to when facing anything physical.

He looked at me, wiped the tears from my cheeks and whispered into my heart, "I AM your HOPE, and I AM your medicine".

John 6:53  And Jesus said to them, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, you cannot have any life in you unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood [unless you appropriate His life and the saving merit of His blood].

”Retah, you have My Blood, My Word, My Spirit – you have Me, I AM!”

The Blood of Jesus Christ and His Word were the medicine that He prescribed to me that day.

With this I don't say that you should not drink your Doctor’s prescription. Please do; as you are body, soul and spirit. In everything, we are to be led by the Spirit of God.

But you cannot live one day, without taking the prescription Jesus gave me that day.

You can trust Me that you will be healed, step-by-step, if you take this medication diligently. You will be filled with new life and the shields of death will fall as healing and revelation will start transforming your body, soul and spirit”.

Prov 4:20-22  My son, attend to My words; consent and submit to My sayings.  Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.

This is a great secret for an abundant life: The Word of God is health and life to those who eat it.

So, the Word of God is health (in body, soul and spirit) to those who find it and store it up, (Keeping it in the center of our hearts – not merely in our minds). We need to let God’s teachings be embedded into the depths of our hearts.

In verse 23 we read, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life”.

Your heart can be divided. One part of your heart can be a dark generational power box filled with "the issues of iniquity and fear" that pays out over you and your family.  Or you can carry a power box filled with and founded on faith in God.

The black dog and white dog – which power box do you feed your heart with every day?

What you hold on you pass on. So, if we keep on feeding the dark power box, the dark power will be paid out in us, and if we still don't do anything about it, we will also pass that power box on to the next generations.

God’s words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. I keep on reminding myself till this day "LIFE AND HEALTH" are in the words of God – but only to those who find it? So, it is not only reading these words – it says "finding" them!

You can read the instructions on your medicine bottle, but if you don't drink it as instructed, you will not be healed. You will be discouraged but it is you that are not following the instructions.

So, when I study the Word, I know that I need to read the scriptures over and over again, until I comprehend its application. Only then will I be seeing results.

Healing Words:

My dear child, listen carefully to everything I teach you and pay attention to all that I have to say.

Fill your thoughts with My Words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. (Renew your mind with My Word until your thoughts are pure).

Then, as you unwrap My Words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your heart, and it will bring life to your whole being.

So above all, guard your heart, for that affects all that you are.

Pay attention to the condition of your innermost being. Listen to the voices that are released out of the depths of your heart. Because from them flows the wellspring of your life, either darkness or light.

Don't feed your heart with dishonest speech and pretentious words. Keep your eyes off other people and focus on your own heart’s condition.

Be free from feeding yourself with hate and bitterness.

Eat forgiveness and blessings from Me and what you have, you will be able to give.

Gaze your eyes upon Me, fixed with purpose. Keep on looking straight ahead and ignore the distractions of the world.

I want you to eat your eternal scroll of life and dance on your eternal dance that I created for you.

Clean your heart from all dirt and evil, and fill your heart with My Words of life.

Remember – you become what you gaze upon.

Taking God’s Word, believing God’s Word, declaring God’s Word, living God’s Word and following God’s Word will surely deliver the results that God promised to us all who diligently seeks it.

"His Words are life to those who find them" – and my prayer today is that we will find them so that the Spirit of life within us, will overrule the spirit of death and fear within the world.

Hurt is real – but Jesus is HOPE, He is greater than all my hurt.

He gave Himself so that I will never be hopeless.

He gave us His Word, His Blood and His Spirit – what more can I ask?

Thank You Abba, thank You that You never just leave us in our brokenness and illnesses without help.

We love You and we thank You for Your Word that is alive.

My dear friend, please don't let fear drive you. Not even the Corona virus is bigger than our God.

Stay in Him, and take the prescription diligently – it will be life unto you and your household.

Blessings out of Africa.

Retah and family

Who shall praise the Lord?

Psalm 111:1 I will praise the Lord with my whole heart. To praise God is not just the utterance of words, or a song that we sing. No, to praise Him with my whole heart – means my whole life. It means

My God is always with me
