Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.

The spiritual battle in the heavenlies is raging, and the hour has come where there will a separation… we won’t be able to go on as before. We will have to take up our swords and fight. The great battle at the moment is against the spiritual principalities of Jezebel and Belial.

But do we even know our enemy? Are we even aware what we are fighting against? Or do we just survive each day and drink pills to take away the symptoms?

In Aldo’s case it has been revealed to us that Jezebel (who hates the true prophets of God) is the cause of many of the problems and resistance we face. This principality will do everything she can do to try and force open the doors of fear in his life. If she succeeds, it reasonable to expected that Aldo will react the same way Elijah reacted after Jezebel threatened him:

And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” (1 Kings 19:1-4).

Elijah was a man just like we are. Even though he prevailed in an awesome victory over the Baal prophets, in his weakness he ended up underneath a broom tree because of Jezebel’s threats. She was firing deadly, unseen, arrows at him in the spirit: Arrows of fear and rejection, arrows of “you’re not good enough”, arrows of failure. Jezebel is still firing these arrows today, and it is with a curse of death that wants to wipe out the true prophets of God.

We are still fighting for Aldo day and night. A few nights ago we found another witchcraft item hidden by someone in our garden. Whoever it was came in during the night and shallowly buried it in our front garden. That the enemy will go so far as to send people to do this astounds me. We constantly have to break down these evil altars in the spirit that are serviced by the hatred of the enemy and the people he uses.

In spite of all these things I still have peace in my spirit – because I know, that I know, that I know my God is alive and is seated on the throne above all thrones. But I also know that we can no longer be ignorant – we need to know our enemy and how to fight in God’s army. The tongues of men that gossip and slander provide ammunition for these evil principalities (like Jezebel) to attack us, and in the end instead of unity there will be division, and Christians will fight Christians – doing the work for the enemy for him.

As we see the spirit of Jezebel blatantly manifesting herself in this hour all around the world, it should also be a source of encouragement to us - because when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will raise up the standard (Is. 59:19). To counter this evil spirit, the Lord will rise up the true prophets (with the spirit of Elijah) and they will come forward. The true prophets will call out for repentance and turning back to God because God seeks a humble and contrite heart, fully turned towards Him.

God once told me: “Retah, there are many echo’s out there… I am looking for a voice that will cry out in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord!”

Repent and seek Him – for the King is coming. We can’t stay busy with the nitty gritty things of life, we have to move forward boldly on this highway of holiness.

Jezebel is a deadly spirit. She is strong and forceful and when she attacks she will try to tap all our strength and paralyze us with fear. Only by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit will we be able to overcome. But even when I know what we are up against, I still don’t fear the enemy – because I know that Jesus has already overcome and that nothing, neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom. 8:38-39).

I have experienced how this dew love of God (as Aldo calls it) protects us from the cruel attacks of fear coming from Jezebel that constantly wants to push open Aldo’s doors of trauma and rejection from hell. If these doors are open he relives all the bad things that happened to him and she threatens him with death. Her tactic hasn’t changed from the one she tried to use on Elijah. She won’t just try to wipe out God’s prophets, but anyone who stands for Him.

“So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: ‘ Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the LORD and against His Christ.’

“For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:24-31).

It is time that we lift up our voices in one accord. This war won’t be won by physical strength, but only through the Holy Spirit! Not by might, nor by power – but by My Spirit says the Lord!

Sunday, the 19th of June, on Father’s day, it will be exactly seven years from our accident, and Abba has told Aldo that it will be his year of jubilee. I find it amazing that even throughout all of these spiritual battles Aldo still writes crystal clear what the Holy Spirit reveals to him.  He wrote the other day and said: “Wisdom says Leviticus 25 is mine. The jubilee year is written!”

We learn so much about how the spirit realm works, but because Aldo has a head injury it slows down the process and makes it more difficult because we have to help him fight so much. I know that Abba will never leave us nor forsake us and that He leads us step by step through the Holy Spirit with the help of Aldo’s letters.

Throughout all of this spiritual warfare, Josh is writing exams at the moment. I also see God’s hand of protection and provision even in these small things, because He has given us Ma’am Patrys. She is actually Aldo’s teacher but she takes Josh every afternoon to help him with his homework and to help him prepare for his tests when Mommy isn’t home. He is doing so well!

I am currently in Namibia for a week of ministry here. Josh phoned me and said: “Mom, things are a bit heavy at home with this fight against Jezebel and all, but I know she is only putting on a show. Mom, Jesus is teaching me so much about the spirit!”

One day Josh was at soccer practice when his much older cousins came to visit Tinus. When Tinus came to pick him up after the soccer practiced he asked: “Dad, how are my cousins doing? Are they walking in the spirit or not? What did they want to come and ask you that they couldn’t go and find out from Holy Spirit Himself?” Tinus and I could only laugh at the insights of a 10 year old boy’s wisdom.

I am not writing all of these things just so you can see what my family and I face. I am writing these things so that you can learn with us; so that you can fight with us; so that you can overcome with us. This is the hour we are in, and we will all have to know our enemy in order to overcome his assaults.

In Namibia I am hosting a Spirit School this week. It is wonderful to see how people come from far and wide to learn more about what God wants to reveal in this hour. We have cancelled my trip to America that would have been in July. After many prayers I just felt that I had to be home with my family now. My schedule has been so hectic over the last few months – and I know that I need to rest and spend time with my family now. I also have to get busy writing on my next book, and I know the enemy also wants to hinder me from doing that by keeping me busy.

But greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world! Our Abba Father loves us so much. He protects us through everything, and I know that victory is our portion. The Promised Land is our inheritance – giants and all!

Lots of love from a beautiful Namibia in Africa.

Retah.

I have been receiving many letters, information, conformation and encouragements from people all around the world after my last letter asking for prayer. Thank you all so much! I have included two amazing documents sent to us with more information about the principality of Jezebel and Belial that we have been fighting against. The fist document is a newsletter sent out by Francis Frangipane on the 10th of June to the supporters of his ministry (“Ministry of Francis Frangipane”), and the second document comes from Amanda Buy’s ministry – “Kanaan Ministries”. You can visit their web-sites for more information if you are interested.

Elijah, Jehu, and the War Against Jezebel

This message is adapted from Pastor Frangipane's revised book, The Three Battlegrounds.

Web-site: www.frangipane.org

There is a war, a very ancient war, between the spirit of Elijah and the spirit of Jezebel. In this age-old battle, Elijah represents the interests of heaven: the call to repentance and the return to God. Jezebel, on the other hand, represents that unique principality whose purpose is to hinder and defeat the return of the church to God. To The Victor Goes Our Nation To understand the conflict between the Elijah spirit and the spirit of Jezebel, we must understand these two adversaries as they are seen in the Scriptures. Each is the spiritual counterpart of the other. Is Elijah bold? Jezebel is brazen. Is Elijah ruthless toward evil? Jezebel is vicious toward righteousness. Does Elijah speak of the ways and words of God? Jezebel is full of systems of witchcraft and words of deceit. The war between Elijah and Jezebel continues today. The chief warriors on either side are the prophets of both foes; to the victor goes the soul of our nation. In the tradition of Samuel, Elijah was the head of the school of prophets. Under him were the sons of the prophets---literally hundreds of seers and prophetic minstrels---who proclaimed the Word of the Lord. In this war, however, Jezebel had viciously and systematically murdered all of God's servants until only Elijah remained (see 1 Kings 18:22). Elijah, as the last of the prophets, then challenged the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of the Asherah to a demonstration of power: their gods against the power of the Lord. These 850 men were the false prophets, the satanic priests "who ate at Jezebel's table" (1 Kings 18:19). They were the most powerful, demonized individuals that the hosts of darkness could produce. King Ahab, Jezebel's husband, sent a message out to "all the sons of Israel" (v. 20), and the nation came to witness the war between the God of Elijah and the demons of Jezebel. The terms of the challenge were simple: Each was to place an ox upon an altar. Elijah then said, "You call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord, and the God who answers by fire, He is God" (v. 24). Six hours later the cult priests still could produce no fire; twelve hours passed and Elijah began to mock them, "Call out [to Baal] with a loud voice, for he is a god; either he is occupied or gone aside . . . perhaps he is asleep and needs to be awakened" (v. 27). Then, just before evening, Elijah prayed over his sacrifice and "the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt offering." The Scriptures continue: "When all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, "The Lord, He is God; the Lord, He is God'" (vv. 38-39). Immediately after this powerful witness of the Lord, Elijah had the Hebrews secure the prophets of Baal and all of them were put to death. We would suppose that, at this point, Elijah would have gone into Jezreel and asked God to finish off Jezebel, but he did not. In fact---and this may surprise you---Elijah came under spiritual warfare. When Jezebel heard what had happened to her servants, in a fit of rage she released a flood of witchcraft and demonic power against Elijah that put fear into his heart, and Elijah fled. You may ask, How could such a mighty prophet turn and run? The answer is not simple. In fact, the situation worsened. We then see Elijah sitting under a juniper tree, bewailing that he is no better than his fathers---actually praying that he might die! (see 1 Kings 19:4) What pressure overwhelmed this great man of God that he would fall prey to fear and discouragement? He succumbed to the witchcraft of Jezebel. And now, let the reader understand: When you stand against the principality of Jezebel, even though you resist her lusts and witchcrafts, you must guard against the power-demons of fear and discouragement, for these she will send against you to distract you from your warfare and your victory! The Drama Continues . . . It is a mystery, yet biblically true, that under certain conditions the Holy Spirit will transfer a leader's anointing to one or more uniquely prepared people. This occurred when the Lord took the "Spirit who was upon [Moses], and placed the same upon the seventy elders" (Num. 11:24–25 NKJV). Again, we see the effect of this principle with Joshua, who "was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him" (Deut. 34:9). Of course, our very salvation reaps the reward of this precept, for Christ is not just a religion, but His actual Spirit and virtue have been imparted to us. With this concept in mind, we can better accept how the spirit of Elijah was sent to minister through the person of John the Baptist. Once before, Elijah's spirit had been placed upon another individual. You will remember that Elisha, the prophet who succeeded Elijah, received a double portion of Elijah's spirit (see 2 Kings 2:9-11). Now, again, the spirit of Elijah was ministering, activating, inspiring and creating in John the Baptist that same kind of intensity that dwelt in Elijah himself. John was to go "as a forerunner before [the Lord] in the spirit and power of Elijah" (Luke 1:17). Jesus said of the Baptist, "John himself is Elijah who was to come" (Matt. 11:14, see also 17:11-13). John even looked like Elijah. The spiritual influence of Elijah had returned to the world in the person of John the Baptist. Like Elijah, John proclaimed the need for repentance wherever he saw sin. One such area was in the adulterous lives of King Herod and his wife Herodias. When John confronted them, Herodias had him imprisoned (see Mark 6:17-18). But who was this manipulating and working through the dark, psychic side of Herodias? As Elijah's spirit ministered through John, so Jezebelhad resurfaced through the rebellion of the seductress, Herodius. Remember, through Jezebel's many witchcrafts (see 2 Kings 9:22), she attacked Elijah, causing fear and discouragement, which led to Elijah's time of self-doubt and confusion. Now Herodius had come forcibly against the Baptist. This is the prophet who had visibly seen the Spirit descend upon Christ; he heard the Father's audible voice announcing His beloved Son; he gazed with awe upon the purity of Israel's Messiah. Now, fear and discouragement are weighing upon the prophet's shoulders. Doubt floods his soul about Christ: "Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?" (Matt. 11:3). "A strategic day came when Herod . . . gave a banquet" (Mark 6:21). "Strategic" is the perfect word to describe the timing of this event. For in this war between the spirits of Elijah and Jezebel, Herodias had her daughter dance before Herod, enticing out of him a promise to give whatever she asked. At her mother's request---more truly, at Jezebel's request---she demanded and received the head of the Baptist. And temporarily, the confrontation between the spirits of these two eternal enemies subsided. Elijah Is Coming! Two thousand years ago, Jesus stated that the ministry of Elijah was not over. He promised, "Elijah is coming and will restore all things" (Matt. 17:11). Also, Malachi the prophet wrote, "Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. He will restore . . ." (Mal. 4:5-6). Elijah is coming to war and restore. He came before the great day and he is returning before the terrible day of the Lord. Remember, however, the principle of impartation. For today, even as God did with Elijah, Elisha and John the Baptist, the Lord is raising up an Elijah company of prophets, Spirit-filled men and women sent forth to prepare the way for the return of Christ! Let it also be known that if Elijah is coming before Jesus returns, so also is Jezebel. Indeed, do you not see her in our land in the abundance of witchcraft and harlotries? Do you not hear her brazen voice rejecting God's authority and exalting her rebellion in radical feminism? Have you not, with shame, beheld her as she caused God's "bond-servants" to "commit acts of immorality" (Rev. 2:20)? Seeing Jezebel so blatantly manifest herself only confirms that the spirit of Elijah is also here bringing repentance and raising up warring prophets throughout our land. In fact, if you are going to serve God during the reign of a "Jezebel," the warfare itself will thrust you into a prophetic anointing simply that you may survive! In the Old Testament we see how God destroyed Jezebel. Jehu, the newly crowned king of Israel, was sent by the word of the Lord through Elijah's successor, Elisha, to fulfill God's promise. As Jehu and his men furiously drove their chariots toward Jezreel, the kings of Israel and Judah came out to meet him. They asked, "Is it peace, Jehu?" And he answered, "What peace, so long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?" (2 Kings 9:21-22) And Jehu slew the two kings. Immediately afterward, he rode into Jezreel to confront Jezebel. The Word tells us that when she saw him, "She put paint on her eyes and adorned her head" and looking out an upper window, she called to him, ""Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?' And he looked up at the window and said, "Who is on my side? Who?' So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, "Throw her down.' So they threw her down, and some of her blood splattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot" (2 Kings 9:30–33 NKJV). There was something in Jehu's spirit that we must possess today. While we must be compassionate toward those captured by her influence (see Rev. 2:21), we must show no mercy to the Jezebel spirit itself. Jehu offered Jezebel no hope for reform, no compromise whatsoever. So we must offer this demon no opportunity to probe our soul and unlock vulnerabilities to her "many witchcrafts." She must be cast down from her high place of influence. Indeed, as she lay bleeding and near death, Jehu "trampled her underfoot!" Likewise, we must follow Christ and fearlessly walk upon this serpent, crushing it under our feet (see Luke 10:19; Rom. 16:20). So also with us, we must have no tolerance whatsoever for this spirit. There can be no peace, no relaxing under our "fig tree" until the spirit of Jezebel is conquered! We must stop living for comfort as long as her harlotries and witchcrafts are so many in our land. We must refuse to settle for a false peace based on compromise and fear, especially when the Spirit of God is calling for war! It is significant that the eunuchs cast her down. Some of you who are reading this have been made eunuchs, slaves to this evil spirit. Today, right now, God is giving you the privilege of participating in the eternal judgment against Jezebel. You cast her down! Side with God, and let the judgments of God come forth. It is time for the prophets to unite against this spirit. Even now, we wash ourselves in the precious blood of Jesus. Under the anointing of Elijah, in the power of the Holy Spirit, let us arise in the indignation of Jehu and cast Jezebel down! Let's pray: Heavenly Father, I submit my heart to You. In the name and authority of Jesus Christ, I turn now against the spirit of Jezebel. As a servant of Jesus Christ, I release those who have been Jezebel's captives, even those reading my words right now! I speak to Jezebel's "eunuchs": if you are truly on the Lord's side, then cast down your sympathetic thoughts toward this evil, cruel master, Jezebel! Renounce her evil imaginations from your mind! In the power of Jesus' name, I release you from her psychic grip upon your soul. In the authority of the living Christ, walk free from the spirit of Jezebel! Amen.

Strong intercessors help cover the men and women of God from the attacks of Belial. A curse is an evil word spoken against a person or a thing. Words spoken against the servants of God are spiritual arrows sent by the enemy to hurt and destroy. They are what the Word refers to as the 'very darts of the wicked" (Ephesians 6:16).

David understood the spiritual warfare the Lord's anointed must face when men curse. David prays in Psalm 64:2-3, "Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity. Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words …"

These words are witchcraft attacks against the servants of the Lord. They are spiritual missiles directed towards the Lord's anointed. Life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs18:21).

Belial: Cold Love

Matthew 24:12 “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” This is a condition known as cold love. This is the result of iniquity. The word "iniquity" in this verse means lawlessness. Iniquity causes men to lose their compassion and tenderness. It causes men to become calloused and merciless. Other spirits that work with "cold love" are betrayal and treachery. These are end-time spirits.

Belial is an end-time spirit that will cause iniquity and lawlessness to abound. "End-time" does not mean this spirit has not been in existence before. It simply means it will be in strong manifestation in the last days. Other terms to describe cold love are: to be pitiless, ruthless, have no compassion, have no pity, show no mercy, harden one's heart.

Belial desires to murder and destroy the Lord's anointed. He is a strongman that attacks ministers and churches. The American translation says, "the torrents of perdition assailed me." We find that the word “torrent” is defined as "an outpouring, a rush." Perdition means destruction. Spirits of death and destruction work with Belial to assail the servants of God. We have already seen that Jezebel works under Belial to destroy true servants of God. Lies, slander, seduction, lust, and pride are all weapons used against the Lord's anointed. It is important to intercede against Belial's work. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. The Lord will lift up a standard against the floods of Belial. The prayers and intercessions of God's people will be a standard against this flood.

Coming Against Belial

1 Samuel 23:6, 7 “But the SONS OF BELIAL shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands: But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.”

This verse compares the "sons of Belial" to thorns that cannot be handled. Those who deal with Belial "must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear." A thorn is something that causes distress or irritation. To be thorny means to be full of difficulties or controversial points.

This verse pronounces the judgment upon Belial and those who follow him: "they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place." This is a reference to eternal damnation in hell-fire. I believe that Belial is a spirit that will cause many to die lost and spend eternity in hell.

"Fenced with iron and the staff of a spear" is a reference to putting on the whole armor of God. We cannot deal with this spirit without the whole armor of God. The Lord is raising up intercessors and preachers to come against this spirit in the last days. This is an end-time spirit assigned to corrupt the earth, but the Lord has an endtime people to combat him. The Young Literal translation says, “And the man who cometh against them.”

David had to fight and overcome the men controlled by Belial. David is a type of the New Testament church. He is a type of the prophetic church the Lord is raising up in this hour. Just as David overcame, we will also overcome this End-Time spirit. We will not handle this spirit with our natural hands; he is too thorny and difficult for that. But we must and will attack him in the power of the Spirit, wearing the whole armor of God.

Ministry Of Gifts

The context of Psalm 41 is again the attacks of Belial against David, the Lord's anointed. David states, "All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt" (Psalm 41:7). Again Belial is mentioned in this context. I believe that as an End-Time spirit, Belial has been released by the enemy to attack ministry gifts. These can also include attacks of witchcraft against true servants of the Lord, which often manifest through sickness. Leaders need strong prayer support against these spirits that are released under the strongman, Belial, who hates and seeks to destroy ministry gifts.
